Admit it, we all go through it…our fascination with black and white photography. One that comes and goes, but when it’s in its moment, it takes us by a strong hold.
There’s something empowering about presenting the world in black and white…it’s simpler, but creates complexity in what we get from it because of a lack of color information — it allows us to be even more creative with how we are interpreting the scene…at least to me. Things become richer, they become more intense, they shed the unnecessary.
I thought the following photographs just say that — they say a lot, with very little…at least that’s the way I want them to exist.
